Representatives

Representatives have contracts with various manufacturers with synergetic or multiple related product lines. They may be called a manufacturer agency, a manufacturer rep or simply a rep for short. Electrical representatives have a defined geographic territory agreed upon with their manufacturers. These territories give definition to their sales region throughout the country. Their primary purpose is to educate their customers about the electrical products from their respective manufacturers and solicit sales.

Manufacturers need these independent representatives because of their strong relationships with local customers and their expertise with the electrical product lines they represent. These professional representatives assist the customer with the appropriate electrical product for the application and then ensure the manufacturer sends the product to the customer through a chosen local distributor.
