Manufacturers

Manufacturers produce electrical products for industrial, commercial and retail markets.  They use a wide range of raw materials to develop a finished product.  These products are usually the result of carefully planned and engineered design.  Electrical products are then used in construction projects, delivered by distributors to the end-user or consumers.  They are also available to purchase in commercial and retail stores.

Power Generation is the production of electrical power. Power generation companies create electricity through many methods such as water, coal, nuclear, natural gas, hydroelectric, wind generators, petroleum, solar energy, tidal power and geothermal sources. They provide electrical power to local power distribution companies, which then provide electricity to the consumer.

These are two distinctly different types of companies, although they both are called manufacturers in the electrical industry.
